Peppermint oil is an excellent multipurpose oil and a great essential to keep in your cupboard. Its revitalising scent quickly clears sinuses and livens up your senses, so adding it to your morning shower is a great way of dissolving any feelings of cloudiness you might have when you first wake up.
It can be especially beneficial after exercise, when you’re feeling all sweaty and flustered, and the cooling and energising effect is wonderful for any muscular aches and pains, so pop it in your gym bag for a post-workout shower to truly restore you and get you ready to go again.
Simply shake a few drops of essential peppermint oil onto your sponge or flannel and wash your body with it as you normally would. Simples!
Peppermint oil is also known for its soothing qualities. Mix 15 drops with a fluid ounce of carrier oil such as coconut, olive, avocado, and almond. You can then massage this on to skin to ease irritation and dryness.
Boosting your gloss
This oil is known as a moisture-booster, which can add shine to your locks. Massage the above diluted oil into your hair and then wrap in a shower cap and leave on for at least half-an-hour before washing hair as normal. Salon-pefect tresses every time!
